Our three dogs have been in paradise and don’t want to leave. Thank you so much for a beautiful dog friendly place to stay.

We started holidaying with our 6 dogs at East Ruston Cottages back in 2008. After 14 holidays with ERC, in 2014 we took the plunge, bought White Cottage and joined the ERC family, and we haven’t had an empty week since (apart from Covid!). White Cottage has been designed exactly the way we want a holiday cottage, and before we moved to Norfolk in 2020, we holidayed at White Cottage 4 or 5 times a year so we know it back to front, upside down – and so do our dogs! Our priorities when buying the cottage were location (walk to the dog friendly beach), privacy (we are surrounded by a field), big safe garden for zoomies, and then whilst designing the cottage for us and our dogs – and our guests – comfort – big squashy sofas, comfy beds, and a really great shower! In the winter the house is warm and cosy with the wood burning stove, and in the summer it’s cool due to the thick old walls.
We are a multi dog owning family so we know what it’s like to take multiple dogs away on holiday! doggy highlights listed below!

  • The sandy and year round dog friendly beach is approximately 8 minutes walk – you can hear and smell the sea from the garden
  • White Cottage is extremely dog friendly with a large, fully fenced garden (mostly grass)
  • You can bring up to 6 dogs to White Cottage
  • There are no close neighbours and all hard floors (apart from the carpeted stairs so dogs don’t slip) and storage space. And we have a Shark hoover!
  • The garden room is ideal for sitting in the sunshine or drying off after a swim in the sea.
  • Snug and small conservatory are ideal for peace and quiet, separate from the main living area.
  • After a beach walk take a short walk to the local pub,  The Hill House (dog friendly of course!) or Smallsticks Cafe at Cart Gap.
